Atempo to Showcase Integrated Data Protection and Archiving at Broadcast Video Expo 2010Atempo Digital Archive to offer tighter integration with Apple Final Cut Server
Stockley Park, London, 2/5/2010 - Atempo today announced that it will exhibit its integrated, cross-platform data protection and archiving solution at the Broadcast Video Expo & Production (BVE) Show 2010 (Earls Court, London, Feb 16-18 at Booth K22). BVE 2010 brings together the leading audio and video manufacturers and supplier, and attracts a worldwide audience of respected technical experts, creative talent and forward-thinking media leaders. Atempo will be offering attendees a firsthand look at the latest versions of Atempo Digital Archive and Atempo Time Navigator, the company’s suite of data management solutions optimised for the storage-intensive media and entertainment industries. Atempo will give a sneak peak at Atempo Digital Archive’s new version that provides the capabilities to keep track of Apple’s Final Cut Server metadata information on the archived assets. This new enhancement brings to the users more flexible restore and search capabilities either from the Final Cut Server interface or directly from ADA’s user interface. ADA’s metadata management capability keeps track of all the metadata inserted during the different phases of the project starting from raw footage ingestion to the editing phases, and project completion allowing faster and more efficient assets search and retrieval. Demonstrations will highlight how the software integrates into the content creation workflow and becomes an integral component to any creative environment. “Atempo has worked closely with customers in the creative markets to address the specific data protection and archiving needs of these data-intensive environments,” said Fabrice de Salaberry, Vice President of Sales, EMEA & General Manager for Atempo S.A.S. “BVE 2010 gives us an opportunity to both shine the spotlight on our software solutions customised for media and entertainment organizations, and further expand our footprint in serving this industry.” Atempo Digital Archive goes beyond preservation and hierarchal storage management (HSM) to play a particularly active role in the day-to-day workflow of creative environments. Among many other features, ADA’s support for Mac OS X and integration with Apple Final Cut Server allow creative individuals to easily archive at various steps in the content creation process and pull information into and out of the archives as needed. This integration enables users to transfer fixed-content media assets stored in Final Cut Server into a wide number of long-term storage devices by simply using the native Final Cut Server interface. At the same time, Atempo Time Navigator ensures that this valuable active data stored on primary storage is backed up and fully protected. In the event of lost or damaged files, the software allows users to easily recover their project data through the simple Time Navigation restore interface. Both products are fully compatible with Mac, Windows, Linux and UNIX environments, and support the widest range of storage media in the industry. About Atempo Atempo enables organizations to preserve and protect digital information simply and effectively, across any infrastructure, on any platform, over long periods of time.
